Chocolate is something that everyone can't get enough of it. I love it and so does our kid. In order to avoid commercial chocolate which comes with artificial ingredients, sugars, waxes and preservatives here is a an easy home made recipe to help you and your family to enjoy the tast of a delicious chocolate in a most healthy and affordable way

## Equipment
- Double boiler (if you don't have one you can make one at home - follow my workaround in instructions section)
- Chocolate mould or ice tray (if you don't have silicone mould)

## Ingredients
 - 3/4 cup cocoa powder 
 - 1/4 cup Milk Powder 
 - 1 cup powdered sugar 
 - 1 tsp vanilla extract 
 - 3/4 cup coconut oil (You can use cocoa butter or vegetable shortening instead)

## Instructions
- Making double boiler (in case you don't have one handy) - take a large vessel and pour water about an inch deep. Keep a rice or pasta stainer across the vessel. Lock the holders with small spoons so that stainer doesn't fall off into the vessel. Make sure the depth of water is low enough not to touch the bottom of the stainer (follow the picture below)

- Boil the water over medium to high heat and melt coconut oil/vegetable shortening in a saucepan.

- Add sugar and stir gently. Sometimes powder sugar in humid condition become clumps so make sure the clumps are removed before use

- Add cocoa and milk powder and fold the ingredients in while stirring.

- Add the vanilla or chocolate extract to bring a kick to the chocolate flavour.

- Mix everything until a smooth and silky consistency is achieved.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into silicone moulds. If you don’t have any, you can simply use an ice tray. (I used ice tray)

- Shake and tap the mould a bit to remove any air bubbles that might be present.
- Refrigerate the chocolate for 2 hours or until the chocolate completely sets. Remove them by gently bending the ice tray from sides

## Storage
Homemade chocolate typically lasts 3-4 months, but it is impossible to imagine they will last more than a week! In order to store in refrigerator or gift them you can use ordinary aluminium wrapper and give them a more preofessional and complete look
